Before booking an appointment, please ensure that any previous brow or lip tattoos are at least 80%-90% faded.
It is not recommended to have overlapping or crisscrossed work from multiple artists, so please consult with us first for approval.
We will be happy to advise you on the best course of action for your specific needs and concerns.
-
The results of your cosmetic tattoos can typically last up to 3 years after two sessions. The longevity of the pigment may be affected by factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, age, and the frequency of touch-ups.
Your skincare routine can also influence the duration of the results. For example, using products with AHA or Glycolic Acid, getting chemical peels, or tanning may cause the skin to regenerate more quickly and fade the pigment faster.
-
Avoid getting the treated areas wet for the first 4 days, including during showers.
Avoid sweating on the treated areas for the first 7 days.
Avoid swimming, submerging, and soaking the treated areas (such as in a pool, lake, sauna, hot tub, or the ocean) for 2-3 weeks.
-
It is recommended to schedule your second session 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment.
The natural tattooed skin healing process takes 7-28 days, and the skin's protective barrier recovery period continues for another three to four weeks.
If you wait longer than 10-12 weeks to have a second session, it may result in faded brows or lips and may require additional work, resulting in additional charges.
Please schedule your second session in a timely manner to ensure the best possible results.
-
After your second session, the results can last up to 2-3 years, depending on your skin and lifestyle. It is recommended to come back for an annual refresher to maintain the results.
If you are unsure when to schedule a touch-up, you can send in a photo of your bare brows or lips around the 9-month mark and we can advise you on whether or not you need to come in for an appointment.
NOTE: if the shape of your brows or lips is no longer visible, it will be considered a full first session price rather than a touch-up.
If you do not come back for a touch-up, the pigment will gradually fade over time on its own.

You are welcome to bring AirPods to listen to podcasts or music during the session.
We will provide you with a copy of the post-care instructions and review them with you after the appointment.

Once you have completed the client's intake questionnaire form during the booking process and made a deposit, you will receive an email containing all the essential pre-care instructions to follow.
Please refrain from consuming blood thinners, such as alcohol and painkillers, 72 hours prior to your appointment. These substances can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours and dilute the pigments, potentially affecting the appearance of your tattoo and the healing process.
-
It is advised that clients contact their physician for a prescription for ZOVIRAX capsules or an antiviral medication that can prevent cold sores.
Start taking the medication as instructed by the physician, ideally 3 days prior to the treatment, and continue taking it until the recommended course of treatment is finished. This will help to reduce the likelihood of cold sore outbreaks and ensure the best possible healed results.

Two sessions are recommended for optimal healed results.
Just like nail polish, we need two coats to make them more saturated, even, and long-lasting!
During our second session, we can touch up any areas that need more loving & pigments. After that, you do not need to come back for another 12 - 15 months.

Jenny Inks personally don't use pre-numb. It hardens the skin and blocks proper depth during tattooing. Don't worry though, we have secondary numbing on the second pass and it works great.
-
All services consist of two to three passes. The first pass, with no pre-numb, will take about an hour. After that, with secondary numbing, most clients are welcome to fall asleep from the second pass on.
-
Yes, getting a tattoo, including cosmetic tattoo services, can cause some level of discomfort or pain. However, the use of secondary numbing agents can help reduce the discomfort. The pain tolerance of individuals also varies, so the experience can be different for each person.
-
Yes! the pigments used are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
-
Scars must be healed and at least one year old.
Working over scars on the skin can result in unpredictable results and may require multiple sessions. Scar tissue can absorb ink differently than healthy skin and may not hold pigments as well. In some cases, multiple sessions may be needed to achieve the desired results.
-
NO botox around the brow region for 4 weeks.
NO botox or lip fillers in or around the lip region for 4 weeks.

Scabbing and peeling of the treated area is a normal part of the healing process. It takes about 2 weeks for the brow area to finish scabbing while 5-8 weeks to completely heal. During this time, sun exposure, excessive sweating, heat, and swimming must be AVOIDED.
Please make sure to schedule your procedure around social events such as weddings and vacations so as to not compromise your healing process.
